Privacy Policy — Top Altimeter

Top Altimeter ("the App", package name com.xinyiwe.altimeter) is a mobile application developed by XinYiwe Co., Ltd. that displays your device's GPS altitude in a floating overlay window and records altitude history locally on your device.

This Privacy Policy explains what information the App handles and how it is used.

Overview

Top Altimeter processes location data entirely on your device. We do not collect, upload, transmit, or share any personal information to our servers or to any third party. The App contains no advertisements and integrates no third-party analytics or advertising SDKs. We do not access your contacts, microphone, or camera.

Information the App Uses

• Precise location (GPS altitude, latitude, longitude). Used solely on-device to compute and display your current altitude and to draw altitude charts. This data is processed in real time, and when you choose to save a record, it is stored locally in the App's private database on your device.
• Photos and videos you choose to attach. You may optionally attach a photo or video to an altitude record. Media is selected through the system Photo Picker, which grants access to only the item you tap — the App does not request media-library permission and does not scan your photo library. Selected photos are copied into the App's private storage; selected videos are referenced by their system URI. Both remain on your device only.
• We do not access your contacts, microphone, or camera, and the App requests no other sensitive device permissions.

Data Storage and Retention

All altitude records — including any attached photos/videos — remain on your device only. They are never sent off the device.

You can delete individual records (which also removes their attached media) or clear all data at any time from within the App. Uninstalling the App removes all locally stored data, including attached media.

No Advertising and No Third-Party Sharing

The App displays no ads.

We do not sell, rent, or share any information with advertisers, analytics providers, or any other third parties.

Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect any information from children. Because no data leaves the device, no personal information of any user — including children — is transmitted to us.

Changes to This Policy

If we introduce new features in the future that involve advertising, analytics, or any data transmission off your device, we will update this Policy accordingly and, where required, request your additional consent before such features are enabled.
